Their beloved Director, award-winning composer and arranger Christopher Borela, who has been mentoring them ever since the early days as the Vox Angeli, was initially a member then subsequently the Assistant Choirmaster of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, one of the world’s most awarded choirs. A multi-awarded and accomplished veteran in his field, Chris holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Voice from the University of the Philippines College of Music, with minor in Piano (Magna cum Laude). He also holds a Master in Music, majoring in Choir Conducting. Along with Choirmaster Chris, the children have passionately upheld their vocation for community service, regularly singing at Sunday masses, while honing their craft through rigorous training and discipline, from their early days as VOX through their transition into SOA.
